The North Pacific Marine Science Foundation is dedicated to fostering a better understanding of the interaction between marine life and fisheries.  We do this by funding independent research focused on the marine life that may be affected by fisheries, resulting in a comprehensive body of scientific literature on the topic.  We believe that public policy should be founded on a thorough understanding of the marine life involved.  The North Pacific Marine Science Foundation is committed to ensuring that policy makers have the best scientific information possible when making decisions that affect both the marine ecosystem and the communities that rely on that ecosystem.
